Tahani Osama Abdurrehman is very active and intellegent Kuwaiti girl. She is member of Kuwaiti U-19 women’s cricket team. Tahani was selected from 36 schoolgirls from across Kuwait who attended a coaching camp in Kuwait Entertainment City in order to prepare for the ACC under-19 Women’s Tournament. Three ACC-trained international level lady coaches working with the players under the supervision of the newly appointed Director of Women’s Cricket in Kuwait, Layla Al-Haji. She commented approvingly on the level of enthusiasm of the girls and with how well they are responding to training and physical conditioning work.

Hizza Hussain basically belongs to Kuwait. But these days she is in Scotland. Hizza is student of Geosciences in University of St Andrews Scotland. Hizza has sent her photo through email and she writes in her email that University of St Andrews Scotland is the oldest university in Scotland. It was founded in 1413 and today is can be considered as most efficient university of Europe. Hizza more tells that she is really enjoying her studies here because Scotland is most beautiful country of the world. In Scotland there is hundreds of beautiful places where you can spend you holidays. Scotland has rich history and inheritance and particular traits that draw the attention of millions of tourists and visitors. Once you have visit you will appreciate why so several people go in Scotland every year.

Friend Aneeqa has joined us from Kuwait. Aneeqa is student of 1st year. She takes much more interest in the history of her beloved country but in the meanwhile she is disappointed that there is not given much attention or value to history of Kuwait in any academic sense. Students only learn a limited amount of local history in primary and secondary school, and professional historians, largely due to the country’s restrictive and unorganized approach to archiving records, conducts little academic research on Kuwait’s history. Aneeqa says that due to such academic deficiencies, young Kuwaitis must depend on a limited range of more unconventional sources in order to obtain any sense of historical awareness.
