Beautiful Syrian Vocalist Rouwaida Attieh (رويدا عطية)

Rouwaida Attieh (رويدا عطية)is a Syrian  vocalist. She was born in Talklakh, Syria. She has four siblings, Fatima, Haitham, Zainab, and Shaima’. Rouwaida was the first runner-up on the first season of Super Star, the pan-Arab import of “Pop Idol”. Along with Lebanese contestant Melhem Zein, she was a favourite to win the contest, which was won by Jordanian contestant Diana Karazon.

From her early childhood, Rouwaida used to watch Umm Kulthum’s concerts on TV and she learned “Enta 3omry” when she was five years old. Her father was fascinated by her talent and he encouraged her. She studied music and playing 3oud (an oriental musical instrument) and she was a member in many clubs for preserving the folklore of the Arabic songs. 2008 was a prosperous year for Rouwaida,she released “Hayati Melki” & “Ana Andi Lezzi”,”Zourou Souria” & “Ya Tunis Alli El rayih” they all had a great success & Rouwaida had a great comeback to stardom. She had many concerts in Dubai, Algeria, Qatar, Syria, Lebanon, Tunisia (Wikipedia).

Rahaf Abdallah Wins Miss Lebanon Title for 2010-2011

Rahaf Abdulla, 22 year old from the Southern Village of Khiyam,was crowned on Miss Lebanon 2010 yesterday July 9th, 2010 in an event held at LBC Studio. More then 10 Jury Members selected Rahaf Abdallah as Miss Lebanon for 2010-2011.  It is being said that this came as a bit of a shocker because everyone was 99% certain Jessica Kahawaty would win the title. She was breathtaking from start to finish and looked somewhat like an Indian goddess. She surprisingly reminded us of Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih in that stunning white dress; Perfect walk and allure, and perfect Eastern Mediterranean features! Her answers were also very interesting and well formulated. Unfortunately she was 3rd runner up.

Saudi Arabia’s First Woman Pilot Hanadi Zakaria Al-Hindi

Captain Hanadi Zakaria al-Hindi is the first Saudi  woman to become a commercial airline pilot. She was born in Mecca, and passed her final exams at the Middle East Academy for Commercial Aviation in Amman, Jordan on 15 June 2005. She has a ten-year contract with Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal’s Kingdom Holding Company as a chief captain of his private jet, the Kingdom. Reports highlighted the irony that a Saudi woman is allowed to pilot an aeroplane but may not drive a car.

Hanadi Zakaria Al-Hindi will visit hospital later this month in a bid to cure a kidney problem that is hindering her promising career. She could not say whether the operation would lead to the whole kidney being removed or only part of it. The procedure, which takes up to four hours, usually has a good chance of success. Al-Hindi, who has already been offered a job as a flying instructor in case her dreams to become a pilot are shattered, hopes that she will be able to fly eventually.

Iraqi Television Presenter Rosil Al Azawi (رسل العزاوي)

Rosil Al Azawi (رسل العزاوي) is an Iraqi  television presenter based in the United Arab Emirates.Rosil first appeared on screen at the age of 14, on a show called Salam wa kalam, which proved to be very successful throughout the Arab world. She has been in more than 40 successful programs on television, in which she featured in her own tourism show labelled “Rosils Day Out”. Rosil has also been host to many game shows including Mega Show, Al Reef, Taj Land and Have Fun. She has also been interviewed numerous times, recently on air by Rotana hosts on Ya Hala Show. She has also hosted one of the biggest music shows in the Arab world, “Bait Al Nojoom” on Aghani TV. Azawi has also hosted a Music Mix programme for the UAE channel Ajman TV. Rosil is currently hosting a programme called “Feel Free” for Iraqi television channel Al Sharqiya (Wikipedia).
