An Introduction to King Saud University (جامعة الملك سعود)Saudi Arabia

The oldest university of Saudi Arabia is King Saud University, in Riyadh. It was established by King Saud in 1957 as Riyadh University. It was renamed King Saud University in 1982. Today it has over 70,000 students including females. The facility was constructed in the 1980s by Blount International, for the sum of approximately $5 billion.
The idea of establishing the first university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was the educational revival. With the reign of King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the kingdom’s government sought to propagate education throughout the country.
